TITLE

The Lincoln Township Trustee can provide emergency and short-term assistance to individuals and families who need help paying for basic needs. Applicants must show that they are unable to provide basic needs through personal effort and that they have exhausted all other means. The Trustee's goal is to help residents become self-sufficient while remaining fiscally responsible and accountable to the public.

What assistance is available?

Financial assistance to help pay for basic needs is available to eligible Lincoln Township residents. The amount of assistance is stipulated by the Towship Assistance Guidlines.

Financial assistance for basic needs could include:

  • Food

  • Rent/Mortgage

  • Utilities

  • Medical Care

  • Burial/Funeral Costs

  • Household Goods

  • Clothing

  • Work Transportation

 

The Trustee can also refer you to additional resources, training programs and local charities to help you get back on track.

Who is eligible for assistance?

In order to be eligible to receive Township assistance, you must be below the monthly maximum income limit and meet the following requirements:

  • Live in Lincoln Township (see Township map)

  • Be in need of basic necessities

  • Not exceed the income guidelines

  • Be able to provide documentation of income and expenses for all household members

  • Be willing to help yourself as much as possible
